I actually heard Jane squeal and bounce on the couch like a toddler.

The designer is very gracious to put up with her.

His pieces are stunning, I want one of everything but budget won't allow right now.

@PamfromCT  I’m not whipping out the VISA card either, but just appreciating the art....like museum pieces to me. Remember the Once in a Lifetime shows? The prices are similar.

@Shanus   I understand but his rings are $500.  I am retired on a fixed income and those prices are too high for me.  Give me Michael Dawkins any day.  I miss him and his designs/prices.  Michael had very high end jewelry but did a more reasonable collection for QVC.  Cat Wink

@Katcat1  I’ve been to his trunk shows and knew what to expect. I’m not buying anything....understand....not forcing or suggesting anyone purchase or not. I’m comparing prices to Ripka and these things look more special and no diamonique.

I think the jewelry is very high end looking and almost bought the peach moonstone bracelet for myself for Mothers Day. I don't mind that it's imported, but I want to know exactly who made it when I'm plopping done that much money for a stretch bracelet.

Um, no. Pedestrian looks available a lot of places....$225 for a bead stretch bracelet, really?....and the prices are ever so slightly steep. Sebagg was on with something similar not that long ago.

His pieces also seem creatively rudderless.  I didn't like his twig motifs, but at least you knew it was his work.

@Sammycat1.  I have to agree with sammycat on this one.  I love the term "creatively rudderless".  I don't see anything innovative and certainly nothing to justify the inflated prices.  The "turquoise" bead bracelet has 6 thin chips of turquoise and the rest inexpensive beads you could find at any bead shop.  The other choices have similar characteristics.

I have a set of Dweck twig rings from his last "go-around" at the Q.  I never wear them because they're very uncomfortable.  Basic design rule:  It must be comfortable or they won't wear it.

While I don't consider myself the ultimate expert on jewelry, I have collected enough to know where to buy what, if that makes sense. I have a few unusual pieces from museum shops (including a baroque pearl necklace) for reasonable prices.  I am lucky to have some high quality juried craft fairs to go to, and there is one designer I love and have bought a few pieces from.  I guess QVC is going the way of higher and higher prices on everything, but I am a value-based shopper.

@blackhole99  Bingo. That’s the “beauty plus” of designer jewelry vs. Silver Style or any pieces presented that you have no idea who made it, imported from where, etc. Maybe because I’ve been familiar with this business for over 20 yrs., I enjoy seeing the designer, hearing his ideas, what motivates him, see his excitement.....etc.

I  love bold jewelry but in style and elegance. I do like some of the pieces but you are right, the price is just crazy. But thats like that on most items at the q esp fashion and jewelry.
