I remember a Western vacation with my sister that included Colorado.  We went down into a non-operating gold mine, several stories deep with well-shored up square caverns.  The tour guide was a personable laid off miner with a flair for the job.  I remember him saying the mine would return to operation when gold went back to 360.00 an ounce.  No idea when that was, at least 25 years ago?
