Wow that is awful. I hope you will get some satisfaction. You would think companies would stay on top of things like this to make sure they have happy customers. It's amazing you can go into antique stores and find lovely costume jewelry from years ago and the stones are in tact. People just don't make things like they use to.

I would send them back to place of purchase, whether it is Carolyn's site or QVC. They can A. Fix them. B. Refund your money. C. Offer a substitution. D. Ignore you.
D. is where you are now, with jewelry you probably will never wear, so you have nothing to lose by sending it back. I don't think they read these boards looking for problems.

Update!! I have now heard from Lawrence Ibarra at Relios, Inc. (he has a Carolyn Pollack email.com). They told me to mail both pieces back with our emails printed out and included and they will fix them for free! Yay!!!! Thanks for all your advice and counsel.
