Something Rick Said About JR Jewelry

This got me to thinking. When Rick was on with JR last hour he told a little story about a woman going to London and recognizing JR pieces on a woman over there. Rick then went on to say something to the effect that isnt it wonderful to be able to recognize the JR pieces whenever you see them. Is this true, do we want our pieces to look like everyone else's and be so easy to spot, is her line a little too cookie cutter, and do we want our personal pieces to be more unique than that?

Re: Something Rick Said About JR Jewelry

Personally, I don't see myself coming and going in JR jewelry or any of the other brands I wear. The times someone has recognized something I'm wearing actually makes me happy to know that others appreciate a good piece of jewelry like I do. It's also a great ice breaker if you're in a crowd. {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

It wasn't rick telling the story it was a woman that called in and told Judith the story. She was in London on a double decker bus and saw a woman wearing Judith's jewelry.

I think Rick was referring to Judith's distinctive style. When you see a particular piece, you know it's Ripka.

But, there's room for debate on 'cookie cutter.' Wink

I rarely see women wearing jewelry, period. Wedding rings and pearl earrings, and that's about it.

She is quite popular in my area. I know several women who have the exact same ring. It is an antique design and has a lot of DMQ stones. I think it takes something away from the piece when people you know have the identical piece you own and everyone is wearing to the same event. JMO. With that said, her designs are very distinct and highly recognizable.

nevermind

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

Personally, I got a little tired of the suburban Yurman mom look that seems to be so popular here...I like to stand out from the crowd in my Ripka...that's not to say I don't like my Yurman pieces; in fact I do...I just like my Ripka a bit more.

This is not the first time I've read this exact post. Did you post this the last time JR was on with Rick?

Maybe you're psychic. Deja vu.

Whatever happened with that Roush thing?

I shredded the invitation and never gave it a second thought
