Apparently there's no shortage of Sodalite, often used as a substitute for Lapis Lazuli.   I've never personally cared for it.  Compared to Lapis it seems kind of flat, dull and lifeless.  

That quite a deposit.

I have a enhancer that has a large sodalite purple stone in it.  I like the stone.  I bought it in San Antonio.

I had no idea the formations were so big.

That is a visually stunning deposit of sodalite.  Thank you for sharing the image, @Kachina624 . 

Rock formations are so interesting. Sodalite is such a brittle stone that I only have one beaded necklace made from it. It is a pretty blue color, though.

WOW---I can see a nice slab used in one wall of a shower tho----not hating sodalite--have a few pieces.

I'm with you @Kachina624 I don't care for sodalite in jewelry. It's kind of like denim lapis, I don't care for it myself.
