Actually, they present at and measure close to 10/16 of an inch when on the wrist because they don't fit snugly up against each other. I have always worn a size medium in Q jewelry and like to have a little 'drape' between the bottom of my wrist and the bracelet. While Judith's skinny bangles are flat on the underside that touches the skin, these are completely rounded - - almost reminding me of what a cable chain would be like if it was formed into a 'hard' bangle. I just compared them to my Judith's, and the new ones are probably not as sturdy as hers. I'm pretty gentle with my jewelry but think these could bend pretty easily. I hope that helps(?)

Oh well, Benzgirl I guess the die is cast. I went in to check on my order and cancel it and it has finally shipped. Will see for myself soon, but I have a feeling they will probably be returned. You see those really skinny bangles at the teen stores and you can get about 10 bangles for $10 and probably as sturdy. Think I might've got taken on these? First instincts are usually correct. Oh well live and learn. They did look nice on the presentation so I gave them a chance. Hope they grow on you. Sometimes it is nice to have lighter weight jewelry in summer. Did you mean a cable chain or maybe a round skinny omega?

Kiwi...sadly I meant a cable chain. They are so skinny that they look like they could have been made of small chain that you would use for a pendant. I hope that you will post when you receive yours so we can compare reviews. I probably should have known better too. I am more of an artisan jewelry lover (RLM) or a Ripka girl. Enjoy your weekend. Oh gosh - they don't sound good. Sounds like yours will be going back too. Will review when I receive them but I'm disappointed now that I fell for them - 2 sets no less! I have been so disappointed in my Q buys recently - can't say I've loved anything. Things are so expensive. I remember the good old days when I used to buy 2 or 3 Judith pieces each show but it's been quite a few shows since I bought anything.

Benzgirl, Received the bangles today and surprisingly I think I like them. I got 2 sets of the multi - there is a neverending combination of colors you can make. They are nice and lightweight, especially for summer but I don't think they are fragile. They have a pretty good sturdiness to them considering their thickness. They have a very pleasant tinkle not a jangle. I got the small and they go over my hand a little easier than Judith's did but they can't fall off. They have a nice shimmer too. Wish we could've picked out the colors we wanted - I would've picked out a couple more silver and a couple more rose instead of the yellow but I will probably throw the yellow in during summer when I am wearing neutral colors. What have you decided. did you just get one set?

So happy that you love your bangles! I knew you would have endless possibilities with all of those colors. Smiley Happy Well, what am I going to do? I wore them around this weekend and thought I had decided that I would send them back today. Then I decided to mix them with my Ripka skinny bangles (I have 8 of them too and they are all different). So I stacked them every-other-one and liked the look. You know Judith's aren't very shinny, so that little bit of added shimmer was kind of pleasant to look at. I think I will wear them for a few more days - mixed with my Ripka. I thought they were sturdy too - because even though they are thin, they are not hollowed out. Smiley Happy Again, so happy that you love them, Kiwi.

Sometimes you've just got to think outside the box and try out different combinations. Wear them a few more days and see how you feel. If only you had ordered the smalls, I have a friend who would be interested in them if you were returning them. You may find they grow on you after a few more 'test drives". Good luck with the decision.

Hi Kiwi.

I hope that you see this. I thought I would leave you a follow up to let you know that I decided to send my pretty little bangles back. It wasn't that I didn't like them, I just didn't *love* them. I wore them with my 8 Ripkas for a couple of days, I wore them alone, I tried wearing just one or two at a time, and finally just decided that I didn't need them. I guess my jewelry taste is more toward Ripka or RLM or some of the other artisan type jewelry, and this set just didn't excite me enough to keep. That's OK. They were a good buy and I hope that you enjoy yours for many years to come. With all of the color combos that you have, there is no limit to the way you can mix and match. Enjoy them in the best of health. Hope to *see* you around on the boards again. It has been nice having someone to talk to about these lovely little sparklers. Take care.... Smile

Hi Benzgirl, I know what you mean. I have been wearing mine everyday to see what I think. I do like them but like you say I don't "love" them. For $250 for the 2 sets it seems to be rather expensive for the size of the bangles.?? Plus I like to stack bangles together and because these are so narrow, they don't stack well with heavier bangles. I did find another set of 4 bangles that are a lot cheaper (14k gold plate vs 18k gold plate) at $79/set. They say they are 1/16" wide like the OTO but to my eyes they look like they are double the size of our ones. Check them out. We'll chat again I'm sure with Judith's shows just about here.
