Silicone bead in adjustable bracelet

Does the silicone get hard after a while?

I've had an adjustable silver bracelet for about a year.   I maybe wear it once a week.   Wanted to wear it yesterday but could barely budge the chain through the bead.

It was my first purchase of a bolo style bracelet and my last.

I don't like the dangle.

Now I really don't like the bead.

I could get some good use out of an adjustable necklace but not going there now.

@software   The silicone bead should not harden, but like a zipper, can get difficult to slide. Try rubbing a small candle on either side of the bead and maybe it’ll lubricate it. Let me know how it works.

Re: Silicone bead in adjustable bracelet

Well duh that makes sense!

I keep a can of spray silicone handy.

I spray my house keys & locks every few weeks.

I've used it for other things too, it's a miracle in a can!

I'll try it on the bead, thanks

@software   Love to help, if I can.
