Actually, this is not about their customer service department, where I have always been treated with cutesy, but their "re-authorization" department, who will call you when a value payment is declined. I have had issues with them in the past due to their (not my) problems with paypal, but thought those days were over.
Recently, I had to cancel my credit card due to unauthorized use, so I called ShopNBC and requested that all of my future value pays be put on paypal. Well, that was done, and then when I logged into my account I kept seeing past due value pays; paypal was not going through. Have no clue why; I use it all the time at HSN without a problem. I called, and told them to put the payments on my new credit card. Well, of course they missed some, so I got the dreaded call from the re-authorization department, which went to my voicemail. I called them back and expressed my displeasure since this was not my fault, but a problem they have with paypal. I told the representative that I was thinking of closing my account as this really bothered me. She told me that I was free to do that but I would have no problem if I took care of my payments on time- then she hung up on me!! I did call and speak to a supervisor but this still has me shook up; I am a person who always pays my bills on time and I am not used to being hung up on, especially by someone who should be used to dealing with people who are a lot more difficult than I am!
I have already cut way down on ordering from them, but once in a while there is something, especially a clearance item, that I like to order, and the value pays do make it more appealing. I suppose I could avoid all this aggravation by just paying in full each time. Anyway, I just needed to both vent and warn people about some of the employees over there.
