Shop at Home ring

[ Edited ]

In 2006 Shop at Home site was liquidating their merchandise.  I purchased a 14k gold ring with marquise set tanzanite stones tw 2.05  in the shape of a flower.   $80.00

I took it to the jeweler this week and he said that ring if purchased today would go for at least $4,000!

WOW!

I know!  It's hard to believe how much jewelry has appreciated and it makes those deals we took a chance on even better.  Congrats on your purchase.  What a deal you got!  I bought an 18kt gold bracelet from them during a liquidation and it remains one of my favorites.

I bought several gold rings from them during that liquidation.

(JTV bought their company out in the end.)

I, too, bought a ring during that sale.  They had one to offer and it was in my size.  It's heavy 14k white gold with Moissanite.   I don't remember what I paid.

that ring is spectacular!   I only know how much I paid because for some reason I kept all receipts from that sale.  (I am slow to cull my files LOL).

I also got some magnificent sterling silver Marah Lago blue Larimar jewelry.  Quite a few pieces.  they were a steal!  I was looking at Marah Lago site today to see the difference and whoa!

@Desertdi.  Yes, it's a bit much.  I dont wear it too often.

I got a beautiful Larimar pendant at a dockside shop on some Caribbean Island while on a cruise.  Later bought a stone from a guy on eBay who was also a silversmith.  I had him make a ring.  It's large and he did a nice job, total price $99.

The appreciation in jewelry overall is amazing. I've been a big jewelry buyer since silver was $1 an oz ( now $35) and gold was $10 ( now $2730). So far I haven't sold any of it but I'm beginning to think about the stash art that I no longer wear.

I have a larimar choker (set in gold).   Don't even remember where I bought it.      It's "too good" to wear to the grocery store, and I don't get out much anymore...

I picked up the latest Covid version this past summer...and it lasted over 3 weeks...I really thought I was gonna die...so I stay away from PEOPLE in general...     Crazy, huh?      di

@Desertdi.  You didn't tell us you were sick this summer.  I would've made you a big pot of virtual chicken soup

I just don't go to public places anymore.  Haven't been in a grocery store for four years.

Little rain (barely measurable) here this morning and big wind.  Chilly.
