Shipping prices

I have to admit to not watching a whole lot of the day yesterday, but I was interested in checking out the shipping charges because I recently bought a piece of jewelry that was made out of the country and sent to me. I ordered it on June 12 for $5.00 shipping and was told to allow 6-10 business days. It arrived Wed, June 20. I had to sign for it and it was insured.

So I'm wondering why the Q charges so much more for so much less?
