Shipping, Ugh

Just cancelled an order for a $56 pendant - the shipping was over $8 ! The idea of paying $8 for 'shipping' just turned me off. The pendant is a very good deal, but I just can not get over the shipping costs. HSN has free shipping on any jewelry item over $50.
