Selling gold.....

I have alot of old gold I would like to sell....but I would like to know from other people who have done it, is there anything to watch out for, anything NOT to do, anyone NOT to go to, I am nervous about getting ripped off so I would like to know if there are any tips rom people who have done it.....I have mostly 14K, but also a few pieces of 24K, so I want to make sure I do it right....Thanks....
