Anybody else going to Indian Market?  We'll be there Sunday (missed last year but did go both years prior to that).  Love the jewelry, the artists and the crowd.

We were there in May. Go to the better shops. One man owns 7 shops down there. Upscale, not the St. variety of merchandise. Depends on what you like and can afford

If you go to the store or Mall take your own shopping bags, sacks, etc

They charge you for the bags and sacks !

Re: Santa Fe Indian Market

[ Edited ]

@SharkE  The point of Indian Market is that Indians come from all over the US and set up booths in the plaza area and display and sell their best handmade goods.  Their handicrafts are judged and prizes given.  The winning merchandise sells for thousands of dollars.  Buyers come from all over the world.

I don't go because I cannot do the required walking, so sadly it's out of the question for me.  It's a wonderful, unique occasion.

It has cooled off some but there will probably be rain this week-end.

There is an outlet mall in Santa Fe with a Carolyn Pollack store.  Everything was half off marked price.  Recognized some pieces from QVC.  I got a couple of pieces.  Lady said if I had any problems I could call and they would take care of it. Have not had any problems.

Nice stuff, great prices, nice staff.  I was there in June.

I live in Santa Fe, and this is truly THE event of the year.  We get 100,000+ visitors every year to attend, and the jewelry and culture exibited are amazing.  My husband and I love to go and people watch!  We also have Spanish Art Market in July, and the International Art Market in May.  If you come, take lots of pictures!
