My only issue with this style of necklace is that I can see on the models, they dont always lay flat.

I watched the presentation and it looked very nice on the model. There's a video over there so you can see for yourself. I don't believe this kind of necklace is suppose to lay flat. It's dimensional and has movement.

I find this style of paperclip to be a lot more interesting and verasitile than the QVC version.  Also, after the fad has faded, it won't look dated.

ITA. I think it has a global appeal so it can be worn/layered with most any style of other jewelry and it could work.
