I just got these today - LOVE them! I love the shape and the antique look of these beauties. Only problem - I know the mother of pearl has that glimmer of chatoyency (sp?), and that is the charm of mother of pearl. However, one of my earrings has a definite glow in the middle of the mother of pearl - so much so that it is like BEACON of light! It looks like a gleaming white stream of light right through the middle of the stone. Beautiful - but the other earring is much darker - deep greens and pinks - no "white gleam" in the middle. Also beautiful - but they don't match each other. I put the earrings on and I stood in all differnet kinds of light. I KNOW that the "white gleam" is going to bother me to no end - it's almost like "cat's eye." I love them both separately, but not together. I will have to order another pair and see if I can make a better match. BTW - I purchased the Rose Manor enhancer to wear on a torsade of pink pearls - just luscious!
