Ring help needed (again)

Decided against going completely contemporary, but decided to try to recreate my mother's engagement ring. (we buried it with her years ago and ever since I have regretted the decision!) She would have been engaged in the 30's. I remember the ring being platinum with a diamond probably .33 in size with a unique cut. Does anyone know where I can find pictures of rings from that era? I can't really describe the ring to a jeweler, but I know if I saw one, I would recognize it. Thanks for all your help. Truly appreciated. Happy holidays to all.
