The color looked very pretty under the studio lights.

It would be perfect if it had pockets! (And a mock neck) 

I have a pair of Susan's black velvet pants that I like. 

So if I were to get this, I might take it to the tailor and have it re-made into a tunic. Just thinking... Thanks!

@LTT1, just a suggestion, if you had rather have a top...go to QVC's homepage and type in the search bar, "velvet tops".  They have a good selection.  You may find something rather than buying the dress and have it altered into a top!  I do hope you find something...let us know and fingers crossed!!! 🙆

@LTT1 - I took a chance on this before Christmas because I liked the color. I wore it again and again. I had so many compliments too. It's not wine, but bright red (sounds like you might want more of a wine color):

MB and Danny from OR PAZ Were on for two hours today. Both were talking real fast.  Danny usually is soft and sweet, but today to me, he seem in a rush and anxious.  Something was off. Did anyone watch?  Most shows I don,t watch, but today it was raining, so I watched and colored.  Very relaxing.
