Not necessarily true, imo. If there was a situation on the globe where value was determined by weight of precious metals, one could buy more precious metals here than there, in probably all circumstances.

No, not if it was tossed into a melting pot. In other situations such as on Ebay or in a jewelry store, yes.

Some Ebay things, however, go for what is demand. Like a Joan River's Bee. Kirk's Folly.

Bartering couldn't care less (about name or logo or design). They are for weight of precious metals, that is.

Agree..Q'S jewelry is lacking in design,color and up to date fashion.

So much is imo over priced and as much as I adore J RIPKA it was a joke watching her dance around and stating TOWN and Country mag. I am ,and have not enjoyed buying the costly and lackluster designs for a few years now. SEE BETTER AT TJ MAXX....

Where do you think TJ Maxx gets their jewelry? Some of it is from QVC suppliers.

Exactly. The Ripka pieces are nothing special, neither are the Bronzo Italia. I've ordered from both (one item each) and returned both. But, if you're a "fan" of either line, then the pieces may have more significance to you than just the pieces themselves.

I agree that the jewelry is extraordinarily overpriced for what you're getting, which is a mass produced item of the least expensive materials they can find that is not being individually checked for QA.
