I recently bought several of his older pieces on the Bay (great selection and great prices).

RLM to me means sterling silver.  Not brass, not copper, not costume.  Sorry to be so set in my ways, I know the price of silver is not his fault.

RLM designs are dynamic in silver, but not in some of the odd metals he has been using.  I got stack rings that tarnished and were just not cleanable....not happy with the metals.

I have the entire RLM Meandering hearts set and have been trying to sell them on eBay for quite some time at greatly reduced prices, and have had a very hard time. Heavy sterling pieces and his 20" necklace is actually signed in script on the center front/largest heart.  I want people to get a good deal, but I'm not giving it away and will keep the 20" necklace if I can't sell it, it's absolutely his best.  His worst.... anything with brass because it'll tarnish UNDER the protective coating!

i like all of it......he does fantastic designs.

i have a lot of his silver, some of his combination pieces that he did in copper, brass, and silver, and some of his white brass pieces. i have not had any problems cleaning any of it. keeping it in a treated jewelry box helps also.

thanks for the information regarding his costume pieces on zulily.

ITA with Depglass.  I adore the silver pieces I have from Robert Lee Morris, but I won't purchase jewelry in the other metals he now uses.  I have a fringe necklace from him that almost looks crocheted, that I love to wear, and that I receive many compliments on, every time I wear it.

You know he was forced to use cheaper metals for his Qvc designs because people were watching the shows and admiring the silver pieces.....and not buying them.
