Question on Tarnishing

Ladies

I have a question. In the past I have seen S/S jewelry with a note on them that the item was tarnish free. What do they do to the S/S to make it tarnish free (is is coated in something)? Why could this not be done to the new Bronzo line? Sorry, just curious.
