QVC's Non Existent Quality Control : J290395

This evening I received J290395 (the clear quartz version) in the post... It's a dazzling bracelet and one I knew I'd wear a lot the instant I set my eyes on it when Jane presented it last week so I had been anticipating its arrival all week. I opened the package, tried it on, fell in love with it (and yes, it's a keeper...) only to discover it's damaged. One of the links is broken. Not just broken but very clearly and quite obviously SEVERED in two places which causes this section to hang oddly & out of align with the rest of the links/quartz stones. I'm left wondering how this bracelet passed muster with QVC's "quality control", was then packaged and shipped to a customer. Does QVC even have a quality control department?! This is the sixth time I have received a badly damaged piece of jewlery from the Q. Have others experienced this type of nonsense?

I wonder if the weight of the stones is to blame ...

Used to work QC. Not every each is examined. A % of the shipment is examined and if that number follows the guide lines determined usually by marketing then it passes. One cannot expect to have every single bracelet QC'd.

I hope you post a review to the item, Deb707. I always pay attention to reviews that mention quality issues, like links that break and stones that fall out.

You are not supposed to describe CS issues on reviews. They don't want reports on problems; they want assessments of well-working items. Call CS and tell them you're returning it and why. Ask them to refund your return shipping and be sure to check that they do it.

I've read lots of reviews regarding quality. Broken links have nothing to do with CS.

Nothing turns me off more than being excited about getting something and it arrives damaged or broken. Ugh.

I had that experience yesterday, not with the Q, though. A ring I bought arrived with one of the stones sitting at the bottom of the jewelry bag. Back it went.

Sure they do; it's a defect and will be returned. Ninety percent of the time when a poster complains that her review was rejected, she goes on to describe how the item was defective and she described the defect and gave it one star. Then she makes the assumption that it was the one star that caused the rejection. If she'd bothered to read the guidelines, she'd know it was the CS issue.

That's silly. I've read lots of negative reviews about quality, so they aren't all rejected.

I guess I've been lucky, never had a problem with jewelry from any network, but it is disappointing to look forward to things and then they're not right. I ordered a wrap once and it was sent to me three times, each time with black lines on them in different places on each one. I had to give up and I really liked it. It was a drag.
