I've been meaning to post what happened to me at the QVC outlet a month ago.  I found a diamond ring in the "real gold" case and when looking at the tag, the tag was wrong.  The sales lady called the manager to access the ring and the manager pulled up the ring on the computer and said "this is a gorgeous, good diamonds, 3 carat ring that came in recently!" and will have to repriced.....online the ring was $6,999.  Well, I asked if I could look at the ring again.  I pulled out my jewelers loupe and guess what?  It was a piece of 925 sterling diamonique!!!!  Another manager came upon request, the other manager was gone, and kinda shrugged his shoulders.  Please be careful anywhere you buy jewelry and check everything.....the best investment you'll ever make is your own JEWELERS LOUPE!!!!

Interesting, I wonder how many other mistakes have been made.

I have shopped at the QVC outlets for decades.

The jewelry section is almost all gone now.

There are just a few "real gold" rings and other items here and there. Sometimes I recognize the ring from the regular QVC shows, especially Vault Discoveries.

I do not watch the lab-created diamond shows, but some of those pieces are now showing up at the outlet.

I always examine the piece before I look at the tag!

I do not need a loupe yet to see the marks. It is rare for them to make a mistake with a tag.

Noone should ever buy expensive  jewelry online or at an outlet if they do not know how to tell the difference across metals, gemstones, and quality craftsmanship.  It is always "Buyer Beware."
