I always remember the line from the book Sparkles that women love jewelry but very few know how to wear it well.  As someone who started selling jewelry as a teen, I have to say that less than 20% of women have a clue.  Whether it's selecting the colors that work well on you to the the style, where the earring hits...etc., we tend not to pay attention to the details.
