Pawn Shops...anyone buy from them?

the last few months I began watching the show Pawn Stars and got hooked on it LOL...find it interesting and harmless entertainment.

I have never been in a pawn shop....do they have good deals on jewelry? what about selling to them...bad idea or what?

Any thoughts or experiences...please share!
