Pandora: lab grown diamonds?

Have you seen the items in person?

Any thoughts? experiences?

Re: Pandora: lab grown diamonds?

I'm not sure about Pandora lab-grown diamonds, but I did buy a ring from QVC's Fire Light Lab-grown diamonds, and it is stunning! (J429243).  I also purchased a pair of 2 carat  lab grown diamond stud earrings from ShopHQ and they are also beautiful.  On the news yesterday there was a jeweler from Cartier (a very famous jewelry store in NYC).  He said they are only selling lab-grown diamonds in his store now.  He said they are real diamonds without all the controversy about the way natural diamonds are mined.  I am very happy with both my purchases.

@granddi   I haven't seen Pandora's inventory, but I've seen lab grown diamons elsewhere.  If there were not labels in the cases, I doubt I'd known they weren't mined diamonds.

If I were buying diamonds in today's market, I'd choose lab grown.  I appreciate both the morality of them plus the price difference.

You can get lab diamonds cheaper than natural diamonds of the same quality and lab diamonds can be graded just like the natural ones. Lab diamonds are not perfect so there are grades to look for.

Re: Pandora: lab grown diamonds?

The only drawback for lab grown diamonds is that many jewelry stores refuse to take them (if you want to resell them)  Currently for resale value, it's not very good.  Things are starting to change though.  Increasingly younger people are choosing the lab grown kind. I like the lab grown diamonds.  Very pretty in appearance.  The color is great.  I still don't own one though. I only know Pandora as Sterling silver.   Most of the time for sparkle, they usually have cubic zirconia..  I have one Pandora bracelet.  A key and padlock dangle  off a bracelet.  My son got it for me. If they want to "move up" perhaps they have lab grown diamonds.  Check their website.

For what it's worth, on another jewelry forum that I read women have been raving about them and have purchased them.
