Hi Blingie,

I wanted to know if any of your bigger stone Michael rings (not honkers) have big windows?  The last several I've ordered -- although nice in every other way -- are so poorly faceted that when you look straight down at the ring, you see the skin on your finger showing through.

This is a sign of poor faceting, and it surprises me.  I just received his ultrafaceted ring, 154-838 in the prasiolite, and it's the same situation again.  You know I love Michael's work, but it's as if his company switched lapidaries.

Just curious about your experience -- and hope you're doing well!

@Sammycat1 Hi there Sammycat.  Forgive me for not answering sooner, I had to try on some of his rings to see.  I have that same ring you have and yes, I can see my skin through the stone.  I can't see my skin through the london blue tsv ring he had.  The last tsv ring which was that bright sort of electric green/blue topaz, If you're not looking to see your skin you won't notice.  If you're looking to see it there is a trace of skin that you can actually see if you're looking down into the stone.  All his garnet rings I can't see my skin at all.  Those are his older rings though.  I haven't ordered a ring from Michael since his last green/blue ttv ring..  I haven't even been watching much of his shows.  Most of my value pays are dropping off after November's bill is paid and I intend to get this bill down to zero.  I really don't need another ring right now.  I'm watching way less and not ordering anythng new from him.  He's on the air too much.  lol   Hope this helps.

@BlingQueen022 thanks for answering and checking your rings.  Maybe it's on the palest stones.  For the most part it's beautiful but it bothers me when looking on it dead on....with all those facets, you'd think you wouldn't see that big oval window in it.  My other prasiolite rings don't have it.  It's such a rich color for a pale stone, so I'd like to keep it.  I think I'll wear it for a while before I make my mind up.

You're right -- he's on the air too much!  Too many temptations.  Thanks for your reply!
