The Big Deal baguette band and halo cushion cut ring are both platinum clad. I'm hoping we're seeing the return of this metal choice. Judging by the prices, it's just a tad more than silver, but looks so much more realistic to a diamond setting.

Agreed! The platinum clad is much better than the dullish silver. I remember when most of the Diamonique was made with real gold. What a step down!

I miss the Epiphany line which was the better Platinum clad. The newer platinum clad finish wears off after you wear it a few times,

@lovesrecess   Oh, that's never happened to my newer pieces.

I've had the opposite experience.  The Epiphany I bought, like the Lisa Mason ring she designed with her dear Gino, scratched badly.  I soon switched to other suppliers for my clad silver.  And QVC did discontinue it, that tells us something.  I'm glad to see it is back, although I think its been here without fanfare for awhile.  I have two JAI bracelets from this year that are in absolutely beautiful condition.  I'd be interested to know if this is clad or not.

@depglass   Are you asking if JAI is plated silver? Definitely not. It is stamped .925 which is sterling silver.

Well nothing beats solid platinum. It's my favorite white metal.  Followed by 18K.  I don't buy anything "clad"  It's still silver and eventually, the layer(s) of platinum will wear off. I have several rings set in Platinum.  In recent years, it has fallen behind gold in value, even though it is much more rare.  So some of my jewelry set in platinum are actually a little cheaper then my 18K

Did you know that platinum can be harmful (as in toxic?) The risk very remote. It's from platinum salts.  But in it's solid state (yes, including layers) it's harmless.  But unlike 24K gold, it's not eatable.

I agree, I won't buy clad anything because it does eventually wear off and I like to wear my rings to bed and in the shower.

I don't wear or own anything clad.

I would only wear clad earrings.  Have not been pleased with the durability of rings and bracelets.
