Whether a host is speaking of jewelry or clothes, what the heck does it mean? Or what the heck does "it takes it to the next level",mean? What was the first level?

I think edgy means fashionable, as in "on the cutting edge."

I think that phrase "it looks edgy" refers to the term "cutting edge" meaning brand-new, modern, the latest thing, etc. However, I recall that "edgy" used to mean nervous or tense - "on the edge of your seat". As for "take it to the next level", that's a good question. Perhaps it means "higher up" or "better" or "more sophisticated". I'm just guessing. I wish people talked like they used to!

I think it means "taking a risk" with your fashion look......looking a little sexy and wearing what others have not thought about yet. The cut of a jacket, a blouse, etc.....or some extremely different shoes.

Walking in with confidence and daring....going to the edge of what is considered "normal".

Same as "pushing the envelope" whatever that is! LOL

Next level: Something or someone on a level above all the rest of the world. The person on the 'NEXT LEVEL' usually thinks differently from everyone, hence why he is known as NEXT LEVEL. A thing can also be called NEXT LEVEL. Anything above average basically.
