What a day.

DS#1's surgery went okay, but details for us have to wait until later today.

We were to arrive @ the hospital @ 9 am. DS was not the first for surgery as previously b/c someone diabetic needed orthopedic surgery first, this person not being able to continue fasting. This surgery took longer than expected and then backed up DS's procedure even more. The surgery finally began @ around 2 pm and concluded around 7:45 pm. The surgeon called us to say that the surgery has gone without incident & would speak with us further today.

Around 10 pm we finally got to see DS in his room and left the hospital about an hour later after we saw that he was as comfortable as he could be under the circumstances.

I really wanted to sleep in today, but you see how that turned out.
