Re: New AW & Native American Designs Now Available

Azcowgirl, Tell the owner of Cisco's that you want to post pics for your turquoise loving friends on the Internet. He'll probably bend over backwards. Poster sidsmon put instructions on the electronics forum for posting pics from an iPad. I had trouble at first but now I could do it in my sleep. Does Cisco's have a website I wonder?

What do you all think of getting away from this "mine is closed" thread and starting a "turquoise lovers" thread? Where should we put it...under CP or just under jewelry? I think it's fostering interest in SW jewelry and a lot of people seem to enjoy discussing it.

Great idea, Kachina! We could transfer some of the discussion and the pictures from the thread! I think the general "jewelry" category would be good because there are lots of turquoise lovers and some do not necessarily purchase CP or AW. Love this!

I just received another book on that subject, though this is all about the jewelry. It's from Schiffer publishing, who also published many of my antiques reference books. It's called: "Turquoise Jewelry" and has a price guide, rev. 4th edition. Since it is from 2008, it is out of date in terms of valuation. The pictures are gorgeous. It mentions tribe, artist, and materials used. Just saying...Smile

I'll have to look your new book up and see if I have it. I recently ordered a book of Millicent Rogers' Museum Collection and discovered I already have it. Your book sounds like a good one.

Haca, kachina, Juggie and Stone.......I will try to post a pic. When I get my loot out of lay away, and Haca....like your painting, it may take me a while (: Cisco's is saying they will soon have a full website, so I hope that means we can eventually see pictures and order from them. Right now they have a " tour " on their website, but it's not very good for seeing the jewelry. I already put a bug in DH's ear about for any future gift ideas, how I'd love anything out of their jewelry collection....I stressed "anything" ....his reply was .....do they have anything for a dollar ? ....men.):..........I said layaway !! I received the new cross featuring amber & green turquoise yesterday. It is gorgeous and will be a great piece to wear during the fall season.

Kachina, think your idea is a wonderful one. I don't know as much about turquoise as some of you, all I know is I do love it. I love the blues but prefer green and stones with matrix.

Have enjoyed reading all about the stone, looking forward to more pictures and information. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge.

Elegant, thank you. It had its third outing. When CL mentioned that she would probably layer it, I did just that. I added my magnesite stretch (with its brass charm) and a small hammered sterling bangle. All together this look is good. I would have not thought of this. My other arm is wearing the white silicone band Ecclissi watch. Nice combo if I may say so myself.
