Re: New AW & Native American Designs Now Available

I've never liked Native American jewelry or decoration. I have turquoise I've never worn from the 70's. It just doesn't appeal to me. And, I live surrounded by reservations.

CuriousCaro, thanks for the giggle! I'm already feeling like I could get addicted! I am on advanced order for J317981 and J295220. There is just something about the way this jewelry is designed that I really like. And I really enjoy listening to CP talk about the pieces too!

Thanks to all of you posting about the leather jewelry. I see several pieces that are gorgeous! I've never owned leather bracelets or necklaces and wondered how it would wear.

Thank you all for being so nice! Can't wait until the show tonight!

I really love Lisa and CP together too! My advanced order items are from the show when they were together, and last night I ordered J284558 sleeping beauty dangle hoop earrings and J285895, sleeping beauty sterling flower ring. When Lisa showed the ring next to the advanced order bangle I just had to get it! I think I have a nice collection to start. Such beautiful jewelry and I love to hear how Carolyn describes the meaning behind the design.

I would really like the naja necklace J280222, but I will have to wait. Does anyone own this one?

Love that they made the original naja necklace into an enhancer . . great idea! I have the original necklace below, and I measured the largest naja and it is the same size - 2 1/2 X 2".

I also measured my 8mm native pearls, and they're just over 1/4", while my 6mm beads are under 1/4". The new beads may be 7mm? Just a guess, although from what I've been told and have experienced, QVC is conservative with their measurements.

Hi Jug, this one in all silver looks fabulous. I was thinking of the mixed metal one when the all silver naja enhancer came up last night. Do you wear it often? I like the mixed metal look, but I would love this even more.

Ref: Native Beads. I measured my small beads and they appear to be 8mm, and the super duper ones 13mm. So what size were they selling during the show?

Re: New AW & Native American Designs Now Available

I ordered the KJ turquoise ring and two copies of the KJ charm. I also finally plumped for the big SB naja! Oddly, I ordered both 2 lengths of the new native pearl beads (hoping they'll be smaller than the previous ones as I'd like something less chunky too)... and despite being on advance order to ship in November, they just shipped today. Now I'm wondering what's actually going to turn up in the mail....

Hi Haca! I have worn the above necklace many times, and I also own the carved turq version, which I love just as much. I have a very casual lifestyle, so I find I can wear them a lot, but not as much in the summer if it's very hot out lol.

I have 6mm, 8mm and the super native pearls, so I'm assessing the new native pearls to be approximately 7 or 8mm - wish they'd just state it in the description! I love them all!

Yes Yes ....that SB Naja......I'm still singing its praises !!!! Loooove it (: I have a question,.....Last night I dropped a three stone cuff bracelet on a cement floor, and one of the stones came out....instead of being the sizable stone that filled the silver bezel cup that it appeared to be, I was shocked to see that it was a thin slice of stone, and the bezel cup was actually filled with a hard resin looking material that the stone slice sat on top of....(I've heard that they often use a pinch of sawdust behind the stone but this is a solid hard substance) .......this was disappointing to say the least, it was a Christmas gift ( matching necklace and cuff made by Native American artist M Spencer ) from DH that he bought from a reputable gallery when we lived in Vail Co. ....I'm wondering if this is something any of you have seen ? Thanks in advance Sistas (:

Azcow, Often turquoise stones have a backing on them, especially if they're thin, to make them less vulnerable to cracking. Every person who does cutting has a favorite material used for backing. It's possible the backing separated from the stone and stayed in the setting. I'd pack it off to Relios and have them fix it.

Here's a good explanation.
