I guess it mostly depends on your personal preference, but I would choose the 1/8" width.

I would go with the smaller width as well. I'd be afraid the wider width would be too heavy...or that it would look as though it isn't actually gold.

I guess it depends on the look you want ... thinner hoops are saxier, and wider hoops are monied.

Sexy or monied...I don't know? I just tend to think that larger hoops that are wide usually are pretty heavy, and pull down on the earlobe, and that's not a good look. Or else they need to be hollow and that doesn't seem very monied.
Either way, I love hoops. They're my favorite style earring.

Hmmmm, I have a couple of pair of 2" oval hoops that are thicker in width and I like 'em. Of course they're hollow.
