This website is giving me fits today.  It only downloaded about half a picture...the half with the stone of course is solid black.  That spiderweb Kingman you have is very fine stone, just beautiful.  That's my favorite matrix pattern.  You rarely find that quality these days.  It's hard imagining people preferring plain Sleeping Beauty over something like this.  I especially like the stone in the cuff.  I can see that big necklace with a white gown on a red carpet.

Each of you have jewelry that is breathtaking. Thank you for sharing photos.

@AliJoi5   Here are some pictures of the bracelet draped across my wrist.  Had a devilishly hard time time taking them with iPad and they're not very good.  The largest plaque is about 1 7/8".

@AliJoi5   that spiderweb ring is a masterpiece.  Not only is the stone beautiful but the silver work is exquisite.  It's my favorite piece of yours so far.

Thanks, @Kachina624!  I was ecstatic when I found that ring because it matched the stone in the pendant so well.  The pendant came from Barry Simpson of Twin Rocks Trading in UT (crazy, funny guy).  But I bought the ring from Josh Chaney of Chaney's Turquoise Direct located in Rio Rancho actually.  He also handled the commission of the matching cuff with artist Thomas Jim.  Great people to work with... family owned since 1970's.

I knew I'd love that bracelet even more on the wrist!!  Heart  Thanks so much for sharing your pix with us.  The look of the super heavy host rock in the stones is very interesting.  It really makes the pops of blue stand out.  Do you prefer bracelets and cuffs to other pieces of jewelry, Kachina?  Or is it rings for you?  I'd say I'm a pendant/necklace girl, if I had to pick a fave.  But, of course, I lurrrve it all.  Smiley Very Happy

Re: Native American Silver

[ Edited ]

Hi @patbz - Thanks so much!  You (and Kachina) are both truly lucky to live in the heart of the Native American art district.  I live in Rhode Island.  lol  Not exactly close to the action.  We do have lots of pow wows in this area though, so we get a chance to see some beautiful pieces (although the tribes around here are not known for smithing... the pieces are mostly imports from the SW I'm sure).  So I do have to rely mostly on buying my pieces from stores I've never visited in person.  And there's a lot of trust involved with that.  I buy from maybe a handful of dealers who have long-standing reputations in the business.  I also do a lot of research and make sure I know what I'm looking at!  But I'd like my next trip to be to Sedona and Santa Fe.  I'll be sure to check in with you guys when the time comes because I'm sure you can direct me to all of the hot spots!  woohoo!!  Smiley Tongue

ETA:  Not that Sedona is a jewelry capital or anything!  lol  I just heard it is absolutely breathtaking.  But I'd love to migrate to several different places and take it alllll in while we're there.

Thanks, @Bird mamaWoman Happy  I love "show me" threads where everyone posts pix of their wares.  I wish there were more of them or that more ladies would join in!!  We can talk endlessly about these pieces, which is great, but there's nothing quite like seeing them in all their glory.   Image result for thumb emojiImage result for thumb emoji

P.S. I also wanted to add that, the interesting thing about these red web kingman pieces is that the matrix is natural in color.  I believe it is limonite and/or sandstone.  Most kingman comes out of the ground with white matrix, but it is blackened to contrast better with the blue.

AllJoi 5:  I'm originally from MD and my Mom started me on NA jewelry.  She had 3 beautiful Squash necklaces and some nice old Tommy Singer, so where there's a will....When you go to Sedona don't miss either of the Garlands stores (one is jewelry and one is all Navajo rugs.  If you are driving from Sedona to Santa Fe don't miss Richardson's in Gallup.  It's a trading post family owned since 1913 and has rooms full of pawn, some of which is stored in barrels!  Of course Santa Fe has too many places to pick one.
