Nasty Return

I ordered Judith Ripka hoops with gold clad accents and I was so disppointed to see ear goop marks which indicates to me that they were returns. Yuck!!! Even if I were to return pierced earrings, I would clean them prior to sending back. Then QVC gets them and does not care that they are gross and sends them back out. Where is quality assurance?
