Lovely Ladies of Ripkaland,

I also posted this same information on the thread that I started yesterday, but thought it might be viewed more if I posted it as a seperate review. Please read on...

As hoped for, my dew drop arrived yesterday afternoon. I have to say that of all my Ripka jewelry, this is probably my absolute favorite piece. She absolutely took my breath away. I must admit, I was hesitant to order her because the price was a little out of my league for sterling, but I believe that the workmanship commands this price point. She is exquisite and worthy of a queen or princess. I would not hesitate to wear her to the most elegant of affairs. I was very impressed with the weight of the piece and love the understatement of dmq. If you break it down, the stones are only .16 pts each but sparkle like mad!! I wore her around the house all day and took the dogs for a walk; all the while she behaved herself and didn't flip on my neck once. In case anyone wonders, I wore her at 18", which will be my preferable length. Call me crazy, but I was sad to take her off last night at bedtime.

How a piece can be both bold and femininely delicate is a true testimonial to the artist. She is a keeper - - now I need to be on the lookout for the matching earrings...should have picked them up when the dew drop was the TSV. Oh well...all good things are worth waiting for. There is no doubt that I will be wearing this baby 'black tie to blue jeans' for years to come.

Ripka ladies, I do have a question...how do you think we should store her? I like the little pouch that Judith provided, but does anyone think that she should go back into the plastic bags to keep her from tarnishing? I have always kept my other Ripka in the box that Judith designed a few years ago, but this piece is incredibly special. I was thinking about digging into my attic to find a nice black velvet necklace box like Q used to use. I would like to hear from you on this point.
