My retirement jewelry “wants” maybe crafting?

A254C124-51CE-4A53-AAB5-44B2A4C16AA4.jpeg

Artsy buttons on 3rd row/3rd.

May try to take a class with a friend to make something like 1st tow/1st pic and 4th row/3rd pic.

Go for it!

I took a class about a year ago, I discovered I don't have the dexterity in my hands to do some of the tight work, even with good tools.   I mostly knit and I struggle with some patterns and needles.    My fingers and wrists just don't work like they did 20 years ago.

If nothing else, it's great social time.

@software@ALRATIBA

Thank you for your posts!

My friend and I agree about the dexterity thing...I doubt it is still doable!

My response was...maybe we can take the class and hand it to the instructor to do any

“knot work.”

For instance, does anybody know how this type is made?:

Does the leather beading come pre-made? Or is the art of it like “sewing” attaching each bead by thread to the leather? I’m in it for the social factor! Although, the DGCs might enjoy the ladybug friendship bracelets!

That just looks like beads strung on a leather cord, right?

Then knot on the medallion at the end.

@LTT1

Check the "resource center" at firemountaingems dot com.  Lots of info available.

Amazon has hundreds of books on jewelry making.

I don't know if your cable service brings you JTV channel, but on  Sun, Mon and Tues mornings they offer a jewel school.  They have supplies for making your own jewelry as well as tutorials on their web site to further help.  If you don't receive their channel, check out their web site, you might find what you're looking for.  Or at least some interesting options.
