I love the liberty coin jewelry but i can't afford gold prices. It would be great if they can be done in different metals. Like gold clad.

It would be illegal to mess with US currency in any way -just like making fake paper money on a copy machine. I presented several gold Liberty coins to a well known coin company to sell - for all except one they gave me top dollar but one coin was marked for jewelry. They did, however, pay me over a thousand dollars for the non-perfect one.

So the Liberty coin jewelry sold on qvc are real gold, solid gold?

I meant for the setting to be a different metal not the coin. The setting probably costs more than the coin.

Oh yes, the coin is the real deal. When a gold coin has small signs of wear and tear it's lost some value to collectors/dealers; but it's still al genuine gold coin.
