Mine Finds By Jay King is on now through Monday!

[ Edited ]

This is my most favorite jewelry in the world!  Love all the gemstones.  He also puts great jewelry combinatioms together.  I used to keep this info to myself, because a lot of the gemstone pieces are very limited since the gemstones are unique, and I like to make sure I get mine, but with all the crazy changes going on in the shopping channel industry, I want to make sure this vendor stays!!!!  So please shop!  All the pieces that I have bought look far more beautiful in person than in the pictures or on TV.  They do look better on TV, and unfortunately, they don't put all the pieces they air on "items recently aired" so it pays to watch to see the beauty of the pieces.  They are offering 5+ flexpays on everything.  Below is the schedule I have, and a few pictures.  Some of the pieces I posted are available in other gemstones.  Today, I bought a pair of pink opal earrings om clearance that claimed to be the last piece on waitlist, so I won't post.  I hope you enjoy!

I have that last gorgeous turquoise ring!  It's a little tight, so if you are in between, size up.

Thanks!  I really like the peachstone and sunstone, although I know nothing about either.  Just like the way they look.

@silkyk the first cuff bracelet I posted is blue opal.  So beautiful!  I was curious whether  Dream Blue Opal was a different color, and did a search: https://www.hsn.com/search?query=dream+blue+opal+king.  I think it looks simialr to me, allowing for natural variations, but you would know better.  They do have some beautiful specifically named Dream Blue Opal pieces, maybe the ones you have.

I find that Jay's jewelry just isn't what it used to be.  Half of it arrives broken.  The prices have soared and most of his turquoise is composite, a manufactured product.  He is really good at fixing what he sells.  I've  taken things to his store here in Albuquerque and before I got home they'd called to say it was ready.  I have dozens of his older pieces which are very nice.

@Kachina624 Sorry about your bad experiences.  I have been buying his pieces for years (hundreds) and haven't had that experience.  I buy mostly necklaces, a few rings.  Love all the colors, I wear a lot of black and solid colors.  I heard about the composites and he did too, I think, and seems to have stopped.  I collect his turquoise, pink opal, opal, amethyst, rose quartz, pearls, smoky quartz, amber....HeartHeart

I have several Mine Finds necklaces but you have to be careful what you buy from him. Read the item descriptions carefully. He sells some compressed turquoise, and most of his amber is compressed. Compressed stones, while they may look okay, are virtually worthless. Also, he will string pink tourmaline and green tourmaline stones together and call it watermelon tourmaline. Watermelon tourmaline is very specifically a cross cut of a tourmaline crystal that is pink in the center, surrounded by green. Buyer beware. Also I was very surprised that this weekend he was selling rhodochrosite that contain no lacing. That is what distinguishes rhodonite from the more expensive rhodochrosite.

This is good to know.  He always makes it sound like it's genuine.  I've never bought anything since most necklaces are 18-20 in length.  I like 24-36 and he doesn't have many of those.

Re: Mine Finds By Jay King is on now through Monday!

Hi @FluoriteFairy I don't work for Jay, so I don't know if he is a fraud as you suggest.  I just love his jewelry.  In my exerience, he discloses when the turquoise is stabilized and the amber is pressed.  The description of the item states this, and he talks about it on air.  Not all of his turquoise and amber are enhanced.  Only some of the pieces.  They are all beautiful.  In reality, gemstones don't have great resale value, whether enhanced or not.  I recommend people buy what they want to wear, which is what I do.  You are mistaken in your belief that the rhodochrosite with lacing is more expensive.  It may be more valuable to you, if you like that better, but the cleaner the stome, the more expensive. You can read about it here: https://www.gemsociety.org/article/rhodochrosite-jewelry-and-gemstone-information/

Jay just showed within the past hour an amazing rhodochrosite suite that looked like the stones that are normally set in gold because they were so clean and had such beautiful color.  He spoke about the deal he got.  HSN is actually offering what looks like a lower quaity rhodochrosite for a higher price.  That can happen when he gets a great deal.
