I guess they wanted Peyton Kelly to do double duty. And then some genius decided to have the gold guy on all the time during the Vicenza shows. David is his name, I believe. That is one they could really do away with.

I saw Mark Bouwer on HSN a few days ago. Maybe he left QVC too?

He was such a likable vendor on the Q, they should have done anything to keep him.

People need to think before blurting out such remarks.

When your contract is up, it's UP. Can you get that into your heads? Over is over, finished is finished, ended is ended, done is done, etc., Can that sink in ???

I'm so tired of people blaming QVC when hosts/vendors leave because they don't understand business/contract law.

Do you think these people just walk in off the streets, agree to make jewelry using QVC's patented products, such as Diamonique, get air time to sell THEIR line, on a handshake and a kiss ? And then QVC just tells them one day to get up and go home ???

After your contract expires, for a certain period of time you cannot be in the employ of the same company either. That's why a host or vendor usually winds up on another shopping channel.

Now is this so hard to understand ????

WOW! What a pleasant surprise this news is!! Have always loved Michael's presentations and would watch him even if I had no desire in what they were showing. He used to crack me up! But I was under the impression when he left Q, he made it seem like he was moving on to bigger and better things. In another words, doing something different and not just going to a different network! But in any event, QVC's loss is HSN's gain. So much shifting lately that I feel Q is really a sinking ship!!

In my opinion, Peyton Kelley is extremely boring representing the Affinity line now. He seems like a nice guy, but watching paint dry seems like it would be more exciting than his shows. He adds nothing to the presentations. David M., the Gold buyer is just as boring.

Thanks for the alert. Read this yesterday but didn't have time to reply.

Agree, agree, agree...

Looks like trouble in paradise to me, when everything is now 'in-house'. Begins to look like they can't afford to run the show the way we're used to seeing it run... And the losses and defections, just like the prices, keep piling up... Meanwhile, the merchandise quality and quality control, variety, programming and customer interest level just keep going down...

True, but it also depends on how the contract was written in the first place and whether or not there were provisions for contract renewals or extensions. Certainly, not all contracts prohibit a vendor from being re-signed by the same company.

At the time he left, didn't he note the Q was not willing to work with him to accommodate other irons he had in the fire? If true, then a non-renewable contract was't the issue. Even more telling is the fact that QVC has certainly had adequate time to fill his role with someone interesting, but instead, have kept the role of 'color commentator' in-house by using their buyers.

I had to Google him, and yes I recognize him now. Good for HSN! I remember seeing him on the Q jewelry shows before.

Stevie, thank you for your response. You were more amicable then I would have been.
