MY FIRST JTV PURCHASE - GOING BACK

I've never bought anything from JTV before, but looked at things from time to time.

A couple weeks ago I found a Judith Ripka watch and liked it for several reasons.  I've got Ripka watches, so I know the brand, and ordered it.

Well, this watch ... I LIKE it but I don't LOVE it.

I also noticed the little cabochon on the stem is missing ... so perhaps this could be called defective?  It's not as pictured on the site.

Since I'm unfamiliar with this retailer, I thought I'd ask here .... any words of wisdom for dealing with JTV and a return?

TIA

@Tinkrbl44  I've bought from them before. Some items I've liked, others looked way better on TV or the internet than in person. I used the return label they enclose in the package. They will charge you a hefty return fee, unless you tell them the item is defective.

@Tinkrbl44

Judith Ripka, is no longer the same quality of attention with details previously experienced buying from QVC years ago, several months ago purchased two JR items from JTV returned both couldn't believe in person how subpar the items were.

JTV return policy for me no problem quickly received the refunded payment. I also received return shipping cost do to both items were defective. I'm never buying anything from Judith Ripka company again. I would call speak with customer service.

I emailed CS this morning to document the situation.  If their reply isn't telling me what I want, I'll call them tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up on JTV's JR line.   I must admit, I expected the same quality as from the QVC days.

For the older, better-made items, I might do better on Ebay.

Re: MY FIRST JTV PURCHASE - GOING BACK

I've been buying from JTV for 20 years or so---and have had really good luck with their return process. Recently, however, something I returned never made it to them and found out it was USPS fault--they lost it--so JTV customer service tracked  the info down and refunded me for the item plus the return fee. I've bought some "dogs" and sent them back--and I've bought a few things that came to me damaged--sent them back-- but mostly I have been happy with my purchases. Have bought some very nice things--a couple  hundred $$ for a couple of them --but nothing much more than that.

Their "Off Park" gold plate isn't worth 10¢

On other items...their customer service phone people are EXCELLENT if you have questions.  I "missed the THIS SHOW ONLY pricing", and they DID give me the discount...

Mark the item defective and contact CS.    I ordered a bracelet, when received was longer than described on-air.  By 3/4".

Had to go around and around with them to get a refund for label cost for the return.

Most of the rings I ordered, sized were smaller than marked.

One of Jenelle's cuffs arrived tarnished, was in a dirty pouch.  That one I kept because it fit well, but CS wouldn't credit for the poor condition.

Recently orderd 2 Lisa Mason Bella rings. The stones are very pretty but the settings shown on the on-air examples seem to be more substantial.

Also they use cheap cardboard packaging now.

Re: MY FIRST JTV PURCHASE - GOING BACK

I've been buying from Jtv for 30 years.  I buy almost all my jewelry from Shoplc and Jtv now.   You want to hear that they sell trash but I can't say that.  I'm incredibly happy with what I buy but over the years, I have indeed had a blip or two and had to return something .   Just like I have had with many different things I bought from QVC over the decades.  Stuff happens.  It's why all the shopping channels have generous return policies.   I'm actually waiting for a champagne diamond cross pendant to be delivered this week.
