Actually, Pepper, I started this thread, and my topic is the pricing of a specific JR bracelet and how it might compare with similar pieces elsewhere in the marketplace. The topic is right on for a board discussing Judith Ripka jewelry.........although I can understand how straightforward, unaccustomed facts might make a Ripkanista squirm.

As far as I am concerned, there is absolutely nothing out of place about researching the pros, cons, and objective value of a particular QVC brand (Ripka, Temptations, or whatever) versus other brands and items available in the marketplace. It's done all the time on these boards and makes for informative reading. These forums are for women, shoppers, consumers -- and for the well informed, comparison shopping is very much a part of the process. Smart shoppers don't look just at QVC brands; they look everywhere and consider the style, quality, and value of many possible alternatives and sources.
