Re: Looking for a sparkly chain

I would look on Shop LC and JTV, they have the best selections, A Singapore chain is a lovely chain with a bit of a sparkle to it.

@Mom2Dogs  Google chains that sparkle. I saw many choices. Or Google mirror chain necklace, they always give off lots of light

I think you can't beat a paper clip chain for a combination of strength and sparkle.   I've got one that's sturdy and fairly thick that I never remove.   It shines like crazy.  It's silver Ultrafine.  I frequently hang enhancer pendants on it.

Try a glitter chain in 14k gold ( they have them on etsy).

Re: Looking for a sparkly chain

Well, if you want real gold you have to be willing to splurge a bit with the budget.

Do you want a stand-alone chain, or a chain more for a pendant?

Yes, I really love sparkle, but with gold you can also buy chains that gleam bright and flash, a different type of look, but also very attractive.

For a lot of sparkle, I like Singapore or rope diamond cut.  Margarita is also very sparkly, but catches in my hair so I do not wear it too much.

On QVC the Eternagold Galaxy rope is on sale--about three grams reviews say.

The past few years I have bought most of my newest gold from Stefano on Shop HQ, as he had a lot of sales.  If you want an impressive heavier weight gold sparkling chain, check out his semi-solid diamond cut rope necklace. He orginally designed it for men, but so many women bought it he dropped the men's style wording. That chain can definitely be worn alone!

If gold is not in your budget, you can check out Toscana Italiana on Shop HQ, gold plated bronze that gives you a big look for a low price.

Ultrafine silver on QVC now also comes in gold plated, so you can look there as well for some nice fine metal pieces at lower prices.

Happy shopping!

Re: Looking for a sparkly chain

@Mom2Dogs Do you have a coin shop near you that also sells gold (scrap) jewelry?

I have found the most beautiful jewelry at my local shop!

These are usually small, mom-and-pop dealers and, in my state, because it is considered scrap gold there is no sales tax!

Also, I have found that all diamond cut jewelry does not sparkle the same. That is why you may want to see it, in person, before you buy.

Re: Looking for a sparkly chain

I just spent a few days going thru my jewelry (most of which is kept in storage).  Apparently I have quite a few chaings, but most are dainty.  Trying to figure out if they are gold or not.

It's really tough when the brick/mortar stores are so far away. I always end up relying on reviews, but I have found that I have a certain group of sellers on ETSY that I rely on for items
