@CAcableGirl2 : Interesting fact about the British crown jewels: while they are genuine, many other Crown jewels from other countries are no longer " the real deal" having been sold off ions ago.  I find that very interesting!

@nova    The article never says who owned the cross only that Diana wore it on one occasion.  Perhaps it was on loan to her.  Somebody, the owner, obviously consigned it to Sotheby's.

It's very large. Somehow I can't see either Meghan or Katherine wearing this. As my daugher would say it's so very 1980's. I remember Diana wearing this piece. Interesting that it was borrowed.
