Judith Ripka chronograph watch

I just received this lovely watch in chocolate, but am having difficulty with the date set. I thought I followed the directions which said to set to next day between 9pm and 12pm. wasnt sure if they meant 12am?., Anyway, so I set the next date at 9pm the night before. Now my watch is a day ahead as of about 2pm everyday. Can anyone who owns this watch tell me what time I should be stting it and what date to set. (next day, I assume) so that it is correct most of the time?

I just got out my Ripka chronograph  to wear it today.   As with any chronograph ,  I set it with today's date and went on my merry way.   If it doesn't change at midnight,  then I'll diddle with it.
