Joan Rivers Egg Jewelry: A Walk Down Memory Lane

Remember all the truly beautiful jewelry Joan brought to QVC back in the day when she'd show her own pieces, and say how she'd recreated them for us, bring out her big book on Faberge eggs, provide a jewelry and Russian history lesson (the czars gave the eggs as gifts to their wives) history lesson, etc.? It was compelling TV! :-)

Recently I was showing my granddaughter my JR hinged, encrusted with stones, egg pendant that opens up to a little tiny scroll inside, saying:

Yesterday is History; Tomorrow is a Mystery. Today is God's gift: that's why it's called The Present.

I so enjoyed Joan's charming stories and knowledge of jewelry. What inspired me to write this post was looking on ebay at all of the beautiful enamelled egg charms and egg necklaces Joan created over the years.
