I have 2 that I'll mention!

One is the camera being on the host talking.  What an expensive waste of television time.  I will sometimes change the channel and don't go back.  Even if I am interested.  JTV is probably the worst, though they all do it.  How can they be unaware that it aggravates potential paying customers???

The other is LAYERING.  If you like to do it - great.  We all have our own style and preferences.  I almost never do, so it is unhelpful and very distracting to me.  Show it all you want, but AFTER you have shown the item by itself.  I don't think I have ever bought anything only shown layered.  I am in the market for a small band ring, probably diamond.  They stack those so often I hardly can tell if I like it or not.  Multiple piercings - I don't have more than one, so it just distracts me from the item I may like.  Show it alone first and then suggest variations.  I tend to wear ONE of each type of jewelry.  Let people see it as it is, then change it up all you want.

It's hard for me to imagine most customers preferring at least the beginning with the featured item.

I am watching the show now, and I think Nancy is doing a FANTABULOUS job!  (fantastic+ fabulous)

She has a great variety of lovely pieces at many different price points, she is enthusiastic, happy, fun, and a true lover of jewelry.

I really do not care if ladies layer or not--all the information about the piece is described online, anyway. I look at the hosts selling as a form of entertainment to try to convince people to buy.

I missed the first hour, because I do not purchase lab-grown diamonds.

However, gold, gemstones, earth-grown diamonds, and fancy silver will always grab my attention.

Gosh, that big gold cuff is striking!

I am sick and tired of the hosts being "so excited" and/or "obsessed".

i am very excited to have jewelry shows aired.

i enjoy them

i don't care if the presentation is not perfect  - nothing is and i really don't need spoon fed

i don't care if its not all my style - it's all pretty to someone

i don't care if the host miss pronounces a stone -  i do occasionally and know my stones, expert even

i don't care if the host has ugly nails - all r ugly compared to my perfect nails

i don't care if the prices are sky high - i don't need to buy as i have plenty and if gold is high then my collection is more valuable.

my love of jewelry over shadows any negatives i could nitpick about

@hyacinth003   I completely agree about the camera being on the host lol.  ShopLC has a host named Cheryl that's the absolute worst for doing this.  She'll even tell the camera people, "Come and talk to me."  Then she'll spend ten minutes telling you what a bargain you're getting.  That drives me crazy!

@hyacinth003

May I please ask which brand of jewelry we are discussing here?
and who is "Nancy"?
Sorry, I am lost concerning who or which show this is about?

@hyacinth003   My pet peeve is not showing the clasps on necklaces and bracelets. That's important to me. An expensive piece should not have a spring ring clasp.

I also like to know if there's an extender.

Agree! I also need to see the size of a pendant bale and the end clasp of the chain. I need a 20" and most come with an 18" chain. I'd like to know if I can easily transfer to the longer chain.

The jewelry presentations on Shophq are nice.  However a few years ago they were better, they had more choices.  This morning they had Gems en Vogue.  The hosts are very good with showing and giving details.  Of course Michael Valitutti's pieces are still lovely to look at.

Where do I begin? As others stated, showing us the clasps. How about the back of the bracelet, sometimes that affects if we will wear it often. My biggest pet peeve is not telling us if we need to size up on a certain piece of jewelry. Jai's Scott Grimes always recommended sizing issues if need be, also jill bauer has usually done the same. Earrings, where is the post, my piercing is very low, so I need to see where the posts is. Let's face it, qvc has become an entertainment channel that sells jewelry. Long are the days when we were actually informed of what we were purchasing. And unfortunately, not just with jewelry. They wonder why so many returns, really QVC?
