Jewelry marking for platinum??

Ladies who love jewelry...need your help

I found a tennis braclet the other night. It has a PL marking on the claps and is channel setting. I plan on taking it to a jewler tomorrow but figured I would ask on the jewlery board and see if anyone is familiar with this marking.

Is PL platinum?? I read on line that PT is platinum but also some jewlers use PL!!
