They are all the same (for QVC and any jewelry network that's not Gem Shopping)  They make jewelry in only oxidised silver and on occasion cabochon gems.  They have to because of the price of gold and platinum. And it's become the standard in silver jewelry.

oh no @Kachina624 I'm sorry to hear that the necklace you received wasn't a good one. I have to say that I too have had a similar experience. Makes me sad because darn it, if I bought it I wanted it and I don't like to get an inferior item.

My problem with the larimar that I'm now seeing on TV is that so much of it has a lot more white in it than the pieces I bought years ago.

I ordered a bracelet - not sure if it was from Jay King or not and the one I received barely had any blue in it. I returned it. I have pretty larimar earrings & a big pendant that has a lot of blue withh only some white "clouds" in it. That's what I'm looking for so I no longer order.

You can try etsy for larimar, a lot of times, it is the actual item picture, and you will see what kind of stone you will get.

Kachina, you must have had a bad experience with Jay King. I ordered some rings from him a few years ago and am pleased with the quality. Definitely not junk.  King's prices have increased since then and I can't afford to buy from him any time soon.

I agree I purchased a necklace and earring set years ago and I am happy with the set.  I would not call his pieces junk. I'm still debating on a spiney necklace is under 100 dollars.  I love the yellow colors..

I love larimar and am looking for a bracelet to replace one I lost when the magnetic clasp came apart and it fell off my wrist without my realizing it at the time.

My biggest grip with Jay's jewlery is the sizing is off on his rings. Other than that I like J. Especially when he is on with Adam! They genuinely like each other and I'm sure are friends off air!

@ teganslaw I agree with you. J's jewlery is not "junk" and I have some nice pieces. I live in NM so I can buy the real deal lol! J's are.
Some of his turquoise is composite and he lists it in the item description. JTV'S line South West Style turquoise is all composite. Once in awhile they'll throw in a genuine turquoise necklace.
