@goldensrbest    Do you watch his shows and own any of his jewelry?

I like the JK stones, but personally rarely care for his designs.

I like a lot of Jay's gallery collection jewelry and I liked the simplicity of this bracelet.  I don't have many bracelets with stones and nothing with lapis, so I got the lapis-rhodochrosite one.  I'm looking forward to getting it but delivery is estimated for a week from now.

Goldensrbest, Jay King is not junk. I own two rings and a lapis bracelet from him. I've had all of them for several years and they are in great shape, holding up with no problems. The silver in his rings hasn't tarnished; I'm getting a lot of use out of his jewelry.

I didn't get the bracelet but bought a lapis collar type necklace that has been in my wishlist for a good while. I can't wait for it to come! Am kicking myself because I could have bought it for less some time ago but passed. But I finally pulled the trigger because it was down to just a few and I didn't want to miss out. sigh. But it's a beauty!

I'm A turquoise snob and never buy Jay's turquoise jewelry, but I'm somewhat of a rock hound and do enjoy his other opaque stones.  Remember when he sold huge silver pendants on matching beads?  I've got a large collection of quite a variety of colors and patterns, going back over 20 years.  One of his turquoise bowls graces my coffee table.  I also have his turquoise ballpoint pen and a set of wooden coasters inset with chips of turquoise.

Jay has a shop here in Albuquerque which is open briefly during certain times of the year and I've shopped there and taken things there to be repaired.  It's a lot more fun to see what you're buying, rather than receiving a dud.

I don't "need" anymore jewelry; however, I have a labradorite pendant and earrings and was looking for a cuff in that stone, so I purchased that one, with the flip side being the turquoise.

I figured with the free S&H, the only $ I'd be out of is if I didn't like it and had to return.

It was just shipped yesterday which was quick (I thought), so we'll see how long it takes to arrive.

Hope everyone who purchased enjoys.

@catter70    You would have loved his speech last night about how scarce and rare good quality lapis has become.  It's practically non-existant and he's using his old stash....yada, yada.  You can't help but like him though as he seems so cheerful and good natured.

@Kachina624

He is a very good natured man.  I met him years ago at the Tucson Gem Show.  I own many of his pieces and had a chance to chat.  He was kind and generous with his time.  He really appreciates his customers too.

When I see him now on HSN, he really lost a lot of weight.  I like listening to his stories and the information on the stones.   I wish I could remember all the stories about the pieces I own.  Always thought he should put the info in with the item so you could keep it.

I too don't buy anymore jewelry.  Just went through a jewelry box the other day and realized I had forgotten I owned a few pieces I was looking at.  I need to wear them more!
