He finally had some rhodrocrosite in his collection

I have some big pieces already, but, it's so rare to find unless you go to New Mexico area that I went ahead and got another piece. My favorite color.

Rhodochrosite reminds me of bacon every time I see it. I've said that here before.

@SharkE.  I recently took some friends visiting from Boston shopping at Bien Mur, the store on the Sandia Pueblo.  They have all sorts of Indian-made goods, including tons of jewelry.

I was surprised to see that they had a lot of rhodocrosite, including a few I wouldn't mind owning.

My friends spent a small fortune there.  Fun shopping with them.

@Desertdi

Some people call it the 'Bacon Stone'...for real.

What a nice bracelet!  Great coloration in the stones.  Hard to find nowadays.  You have some really beautiful pieces.

I've never heard it called the 'bacon stone' before.  Blech.  I prefer to think of it as 'strawberries and cream'.  Much more apropos.

An estimated 700,000 people around the world, 400,000 of them children, have died so far due to the discontinuation of the USAID program.

Didn't Carolyn used to present this?  Currently 7 items are showing and none are hers.
